Applications are welcomed from Indian nationals belonging to scheduled classifications (SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwD (VH, OH, HH)) under unique recruitment drive for the post of Assistant Professor in the Departments of Aerospace Engineering, Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Cognitive Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Design, Earth Sciences, Economic Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management Sciences, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics, Physics, Space, Planetary & Astronomical Sciences & Engineering (SPASE), Sustainable Energy Engineering, and Kotak School of Sustainability.
Several Departments likewise take part in the mentor and research study activities of interdisciplinary post-graduate programs in the institute in Photonics Science and Engineering and Materials Science Program. Other information:
1. The pay carries all other allowances as permissible to a Central Government employee stationed at Kanpur.
2. The benefits, such as LTC, medical re-imbursement, transport allowance, children education allowance, contribution towards New Pension System (NPS), re-imbursement of telephone costs, book grants, HRA (if housing not supplied), research study initiation grant (approximately Rs 25 lakhs with the arrangement to request a supplemental grant) and financial backing towards nationwide and global conferences will be allowed according to the Institute norms.
3. From its internal resources, the Institute offers an extra top-up wage of Rs 25,000/- per month for the first three years of service to the newly joined faculty members. After three years of service, the faculty member(s) are qualified for consideration for Young Faculty Fellowship (open for faculty of age upto 40 years) offering a top-up salary of Rs.15,000/- each month for 3 years, and/or Faculty Chair positions providing a top-up wage of Rs 25,000/- monthly for three years. Both the positions are provided based upon performance.
4. Traveling allowance for joining: The Institute will reimburse worldwide travel costs for the newly joined faculty member and dependent family members to the maximum limit of Rs. 1,50,000. Domestic travel reimbursement will be as per federal government guidelines.
5. The Institute strives to provide real estate to all professors members. Your homes are equipped with totally free high-speed internet.
6. Mere eligibility will not entitle a candidate for being required interview.
7. Applicants who do not fulfil the minimum experience requirements might be used a visit on agreement. The requirements of minimum certification and/or experience may be unwinded in the case of candidates with impressive qualifications.
